We are making a skittle rainbow


Materials;

1.  5 skittles
2. petrie dish
3. water

Process:

Step 1: put the 5 skittles in the petrie dish
Step 2:add water
Step 3:wait
Step 4:watch it


Findings: Write about what happened.
when we made the skittle rainbow we made it in a perie dish  and the we watched the water make  colours from the skittles
Reflection: What have I learnt from this experiment?

Colours in other colours

Materials;

1.  filter paper

2. red felts

3. liquid

4. a container

5. green  felts

6. black felts

Process:

Step 1:Fold the paper 2 cm on one side .

Step 2:Fold the paper 1 cm on the other side.

Step 3:Draw 3 dots with each coloured felt.

Step 4:Fold the 2 cm line and bend that over the cup.

Step 5:Add water till it just touched the paper.

Step 6:Watch it.

Findings: Write about what happened.

When the water went in the cup it soaked all the water and the it showed the other colours

the colours made

black =purple yellow blue

red=pink orange

green= lime green and blue

Reflection: What have I learnt from this experiment?

We learned that some other colours are made of other colours to make that colour

Tane mahuta

HI I am part of the tane mahuta group for CIP at school
Our job is to make a difference in the community
To day we went and looked at the orchard behind our school
My favourite part of the school is the plum tree in the orchard
My best idea to improve the school is to add some cool things like skate parks,climbing trees

Filtration is separating solids from liquids by adding a medium though witch only the liquid can pass

Aim: To make a filtration plant using house hold items

process

1 Cut the bottle in half to make the funnel and the container
2  Make the paper filter in to a cone and put it in the funnel
3 Fill the filter paper up with sand
4. Puts some rocks on top of the sand
5 Put the muddy water in
